GDB extension to support branch tracing on ARM processors using CoreSight ETM supports now remote protocol. This enables tracing and debugging applications running on a Cortex A from a PC using common IDEs like Eclipse.  Source code is available here.

First prototype of an affordable debugger for Cortex M, capable of collecting the traces from a TPIU port produced. The bring-up went successfully.

A proof of concept for an ARM CoreSight ETM trace port analyzer is realized. The prototype is capable of collecting ETM traces of a cortex M4 core running at 168MHz.
